FOR SENIOR WOMEN LEADERS IN NEW ZEALAND
The further you go, the fewer people understand what you are carrying.
Senior women leaders in New Zealand face a particular kind of pressure. Women can feel isolated and have few supports due to the seniority and busyness of their roles with little time or desire to attend networking events. There are questions about how to lead authentically within structures that often reward a different style. The challenge of navigating systems that were built for a different era.
Coaching for professional women who need a confidential sounding board and space to refocus.
You need someone in your corner.
You might be facing tricky dynamics and would welcome different ideas and strategies. You might be doubting some decisions or the direction you have taken during a challenge. You would like to feel more energised and inspired again.
If you are an influencer and a decision maker, an executive, or a professional then you will be feeling a crunch. You may not be at breaking point, but you know that things could be better.
You need a seasoned advisor who intimately understands the mindset, the pressures and problems faced by executive women.
I have worked with senior women leaders in New Zealand for more than 25 years — as CEOs, directors, chief officers, and leaders moving into their most significant roles. What I offer is not a programme for women's leadership. It is the same trusted, independent counsel I bring to every senior leader, with a deep understanding of the specific terrain women navigate at this level. A strong gender lens.
“Loretta takes the time to deeply understand her clients, their drivers, their purpose, and the kind of leader they aspire to be. She has guided me through many highs and lows with purpose- and values-led insights.”
KOMAL MISTRY-MEHTA · CHIEF INNOVATION & BRAND OFFICER, FONTERRA
“Loretta transformed my leadership approach by clarifying what effective leadership looks like. She eliminated the distractions, empowering me to uncover my authentic and confident voice, and guided me in leading with my core values.”
LISA FEDYSZYN · CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER, SPECIAL GROUP
“As a CEO for many years, it is important to spend some time reflecting and having a critical friend to give you that feedback that you would not otherwise receive. She enabled me to reframe and reset through being thought-provoking, inspiring and by believing in my potential.”
LYNETTE ADAMS · CEO, SPORTS WAITAKERE
This is not a women's leadership programme
There are many capable providers of leadership development for women at mid-career level. This is different.
The women I work with are already leading. They hold significant authority as CEOs, managing directors, chief officers, board members, and senior executives across New Zealand's successful organisations. They are not searching for a pathway to leadership. They are asking harder questions: about the kind of leader they want to be, the legacy they are building, and how to sustain clarity and purpose at the level they are already operating.
My role is to walk beside them as they navigate that terrain - with complete independence, confidentiality and a long view.
What brings senior women to this work
The conversations I have with senior women leaders often turn on a few recurring themes:
The weight of being first, or one of very few, at this level. The question of how to bring your full self to leadership, not a version of yourself shaped to fit the room. The decision of where to focus your influence. The isolation of holding it all, with few people who genuinely understand.
“Loretta has a style that is both supportive and challenging. She helps explore the possibilities in a planned and constructive manner, helping to push you forward and widen your perspective. Very valuable discussions.”
BINDI NORWELL · CEO, PROCARE NZ
