FOR CEOS, DIRECTORS AND SENIOR EXECUTIVES IN NEW ZEALAND

Executive coaching is where most senior leaders begin. Leadership counsel is what meets their needs now.

Executive coaching has a well-defined and valuable purpose: to develop capability, sharpen performance, and build the skills of leadership. For leaders early in their senior careers, or navigating a specific challenge, it is the right tool.

But for leaders operating at the highest level, those carrying the full weight of organisational, sector or national influence, the need moves beyond what coaching alone can provide.

What leaders describe is a need for something more: a completely independent thinking partner who holds the strategic and the personal together, who understands the weight of the role from the inside, and who is answerable to no-one but you. That is what I provide.

“Loretta was invaluable in helping me transition successfully into a CEO role. In each session, she gently teased out what was going on, and I always left with ideas or tools which I would actually use. It was a relief to be able to talk to someone outside the business about how I was feeling.”

DEREK BARTLETT · MANAGING DIRECTOR, BAYER NZ

What makes this different from executive coaching

Executive coaching typically focuses on the individual's development within their role, building skills, addressing behaviours, improving performance against a set of competencies.

The work I do with senior leaders holds something wider. It is part sounding board, part strategic adviser, and entirely independent. There is no programme to follow, no competency framework to measure against, no institutional agenda. The relationship is shaped entirely by what you need to think through, decide, and lead in your context.

It deepens over time. Leaders describe it as the most important professional conversation they have, the one completely free from judgement and politics.

Who I work with

Senior executives who carry wide decision-making authority and high public or institutional responsibility. Leaders navigating complexity, transformation, or a pivotal transition. Those who have achieved a great deal and are now asking what they want their next chapter to be. Or leaders who are ready to define their lasting contribution.

I work with leaders across New Zealand's most significant organisations, in business, public sector, iwi, health, and for-purpose environments.

IN THEIR WORDS

What leaders say

“Loretta has been an incredible ally for me over the past 12 months. She has provided genuine insights and served as a top-tier sounding board during our busiest-ever period. I can't recommend her enough.”

MARK KNEEBONE · MD NEW ZEALAND, LIVE NATION AUSTRALASIA

“As a CEO for many years, it is important to spend some time reflecting and having a critical friend to give you that feedback that you would not otherwise receive. She enabled me to reframe and reset through being thought-provoking, inspiring and by believing in my potential.”

LYNETTE ADAMS · CEO, SPORTS WAITAKERE

"Every now and then, when you are in need of the right guidance, someone special steps into your path. If you are fortunate, that person will clear away your confusion, encouraging a new clarity and purpose to emerge. When it counted the most, Loretta made the difference."

MARTIN CROWE · ICONIC NEW ZEALAND CRICKETER, LEADER AND MENTOR · IN MEMORIAM
